Letterpress printing is a traditional printing method whereby metal or wood plates, with a raised pattern, are placed into a chase/frame. The plates are then rolled with ink before paper is placed on the press. Pressure is then applied to transfer the inked impression onto the paper. This tends to create a crisp, de-bossed effect which provides texture and visual appeal.
