Nepalese Lokta paper is handmade by local families in Nepal and is fair-trade classified. It is an eco-friendly paper made from the fibrous bark of the Daphne Shrub or Lokta Bush. Each sheet of Lokta paper is handmade with a mould and deckle frame and each sheet is hand dyed. Because Lokta paper is handmade, there are irregularities which add to the beauty of the paper.
