Handmade Amate Paper, crafted by Otomi artisans in central Mexico, has been used for centuries and follows the same techniques passed down by their Mesoamerican ancestors 3000 years ago. This traditional paper has been used for religious and legal texts, as well as a medium for painting. Made from Amate, Nettle, and Mulberry tree bark, each sheet features a blend of earth-tone fibres, resulting in a stunning and unique natural paper. These acid-free papers come in various vibrant and natural hues. Due to its handmade nature and use of natural materials, each sheet will vary in weight, colour, shade, and pattern, making it truly one-of-a-kind.
