Crafted using traditional Japanese washi-making techniques, Awagami Horizontal Stripe paper is made from natural kozo fibers. After being harvested, cleaned, boiled, and beaten into a pulp, the fibers are mixed with water and a natural adhesive. The mixture is then poured onto a bamboo screen, forming sheets and creating the distinctive horizontal stripe pattern. These sheets are then pressed and dried, resulting in a unique texture and finish that adds visual interest and is ideal for artistic applications such as printmaking, lighting, and crafting.
