Awagami Yanagi paper is crafted using traditional Japanese washi making techniques. The process starts with gathering natural kozo fibres, which undergo cleaning, boiling, and beating to create a pulp. This pulp is combined with water and a natural adhesive, and then poured onto a bamboo screen to form sheets. The Yanagi collection offers two colour options, achieved by using natural dyes during the pulp preparation. This type of paper is well-suited for various artistic uses such as printmaking, collage and lighting.
